Hi, I’m Sandi Dreisonstok, founder and family travel advisor at Drift and Discover Travel. With a lifelong passion for travel and cultural discovery, I’ve explored 42 countries and studied in Spain, Argentina, and Uruguay during college. These experiences taught me how cultural nuance can transform a trip from enjoyable to unforgettable.

Before launching Drift and Discover Travel, I spent 15 years as an international policy specialist for the U.S. Government in Washington, D.C., a role that took me across Europe and Asia and sharpened my ability to navigate complex logistics with ease. Those years shaped how I understand the world — but my most cherished role is being a mom to two amazing kids. I know firsthand the joys (and challenges!) of planning meaningful family travel experiences for adults and children alike.

As a Virtuoso Travel Advisor, I give my clients access to exclusive perks at top hotels and resorts worldwide — including daily breakfast, resort credits, upgrades when available, and thoughtful amenities that elevate every stay. On cruises, I offer Virtuoso Voyages benefits, ranging from a dedicated onboard host and a private welcome reception, to bonus amenities like shipboard credits, prepaid gratuities, or complimentary specialty dining.

My specialties include family‑friendly ocean and river cruises (I’ve sailed on 28 and counting), Caribbean and Mexico getaways, and Hawaii, where I’m a certified Hawaii Destination Specialist through the Hawaii Tourism Authority. Hawaii’s culture, landscapes, and family‑focused experiences make it one of my favorite destinations to plan.

I also bring extensive experience across Europe, South America, and other culturally rich regions. I specialize in helping families experience the world in a way that feels meaningful, immersive, and easy — whether you’re dreaming of Europe’s historic cities, Hawaii’s breathtaking landscapes, the vibrant cultures of South America, or a sun‑soaked Caribbean or Mexico escape. I design itineraries that balance discovery with seamless, stress‑free travel experiences tailored to your family’s interests and pace.
