- Terms & COnDitions
These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern the relationship between Drift and Discover Travel LLC (“we,” “us,” “our,” or “Drift and Discover Travel”) and you, the traveler and/or purchaser of travel services (“you,” “your,” “Traveler” or “Client”). By booking travel through us, you agree to be bound by this Agreement and acknowledge that we act solely as a travel advisor and booking agent for the third-party suppliers and vendors (“Suppliers”) providing accommodations, transportation, tours, and other travel services.
We are an independent affiliate of Pickles Vacations, LLC DBA PTN Travel, and a Virtuoso member, offering elevated, immersive, family-centered travel experiences.
- SCOPE OF SERVICES
Drift and Discover Travel offers custom travel planning services, including but not limited to curated itineraries, hotel bookings, transportation coordination, and cultural experiences. We collaborate with trusted Suppliers but do not own, operate, or control any of the services they provide. Supplier terms and conditions will govern your bookings with them.
- TRIP PLANNING FEES
We charge a nonrefundable trip planning fee for our time and expertise in researching and designing your itinerary. This fee varies based on trip type as follows:
Custom International Travel Itineraries: $150
Custom Domestic Travel Itineraries: $75
Cruise and Hotel Only Bookings: $50
Air Bookings: $25 Per Person (Not to Exceed $100 Per Family)
A last-minute change fee of $50 may apply for itinerary changes within 15 days of departure, at the discretion of Drift and Discover Travel.
- BOOKINGS & PAYMENTS
The process starts with the submission of a new trip inquiry and/or request for a discovery call via the Drift and Discover Travel website (https://drift-discover.com). If you decide that Drift and Discover Travel is the right fit for planning your next dream vacation, you will pay our trip planning fee via Stripe and acknowledge our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
Next, Drift and Discover Travel will research and design your custom itinerary and present it to you within 5 days. You will then have 7 days to make selections and changes prior to official booking. Please note that until deposited, all pricing and availability is subject to change. Once you approve your proposal, we will confirm your bookings with the Suppliers. Drift and Discover Travel accepts major credit cards via secure credit card authorization.
Upon booking, Drift and Discover Travel will provide you with payment instructions and all due dates. You must make all payments in full and on time. If you are booking within 60 days of the departure date, full payment will be due at the time of booking confirmation. If full payment is not received by the due date on your invoice, we reserve the right to cancel your travel and any applicable supplier cancellation fees would be applied to your method of payment on file. You agree not to dispute valid charges or initiate chargebacks for nonrefundable services unless fraud is suspected. You are financially responsible for all bookings made on your behalf, including for any travel companions. Discounted fares typically involve restrictions and changing any aspect of the travel arrangements may result in additional fees.
Bookings do not include airfare unless we agree otherwise. It is advised that you not make any air reservations until you receive confirmation of your booking. Your contract for airfare is with the carrier and subject to its terms. Drift and Discover Travel will not be liable for any change/cancellation fees or other costs you incur with the air carrier.
- CANCELLATIONS, CHANGES & REFUNDS
Cancellations must be submitted in writing. Trip planning fees paid to Drift and Discover Travel are nonrefundable. Additional cancellation penalties may apply per Supplier policies. Refunds, when available, are issued by the Supplier; Drift and Discover Travel is not responsible for their processing.
Changes requested after final booking confirmation may incur Supplier fees. They may also result in a last-minute change fee of $50 due to Drift and Discover Travel if within 15 days of departure.
- TRAVEL DOCUMENTS & COMPLIANCE
It is your responsibility to ensure that all travelers hold valid passports, visas, identification, vaccinations, and other entry requirements. Passports must be valid at least 6 months beyond the return date. Mismatches between traveler names and documentation may result in denied boarding or travel delays. It is your responsibility to review all travel documentation and alert us as soon as possible with any corrections.
Travel to certain destinations may involve greater risk than others. Drift and Discover Travel urges travelers to remain informed daily as to current news, as well as to review travel prohibitions, warnings, announcements, and advisories issued by the United States Government. Information on conditions in various countries and the level of risk associated with travel to destinations can be found at http://www.state.gov and http://www.cdc.gov. In addition, you should consult these government websites to ensure that you are following all requirements for admittance into that country, as well as understanding local laws that govern travel within a country, such as medical tests and tracking. Should you choose to travel to a country that has been issued a travel warning or advisory, Drift and Discover Travel will not be liable for damages or losses that result from travel to such destinations.
Certain countries restrict travelers with criminal convictions, even if expunged. Please inform us prior to booking if this applies to you and seek separate legal counsel to confirm your ability to travel to your desired destination. If you are denied access to a country or a supplier due to a prior conviction, Drift and Discover Travel shall not be liable for any losses, expenses, or refunds to you or anyone in your group.
Effective May 7, 2025, a REAL ID or passport is required for domestic flights.
- HEALTH & SAFETY
Travel may involve inherent risks including illness, pandemics, injury, or natural disasters. Drift and Discover Travel is not liable for outcomes resulting from health risks or travel disruptions. You assume full responsibility for understanding health requirements of your destinations. It is your responsibility to ensure that you meet all health entry requirements and that you consult your physician about any concerns, medications, or personal limitations prior to travel. Vaccination requirements can be found on the Center for Disease Control website at https://www.cdc.gov/.
- TRAVEL INSURANCE
We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance, including “Cancel for Any Reason” coverage. Insurance may protect against Supplier default, trip interruption, lost luggage, medical emergencies, and more. Drift and Discover Travel is not qualified to answer technical questions about the benefits, exclusions, and conditions of travel insurance plans. We also cannot evaluate the adequacy of the prospective insured’s existing insurance coverage. If you have any questions about your travel protection, call your insurer or insurance agent.
Drift and Discover Travel will present insurance options to you during the planning process. If you decline insurance, we will request you sign a waiver acknowledging financial risk. Travel insurance plans must be purchased in close conjunction with your travel purchase.
- SUPPLIER LIABILITY
Drift and Discover Travel acts only as a booking agent. We are not responsible for the performance, acts, or omissions of Suppliers, including delays, overbooking, cancellations, or bankruptcy. All services are subject to the terms and conditions of the Supplier.
- FORCE MAJEURE
We and our Suppliers are not liable for travel disruptions due to circumstances beyond control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, terrorism, civil unrest, or government mandates. Refunds or rescheduling options in such cases are determined by Supplier policies and are not guaranteed.
- CLIENT CONDUCT & DAMAGES
Clients are responsible for any damage caused during their travels and agree to indemnify Drift and Discover Travel from any claims arising from their actions. Destructive or otherwise inappropriate or illegal behavior may result in removal from a trip at your expense with no refund.
- LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Our maximum liability for any claim arising from your use of our services shall not exceed the total service fees received by Drift and Discover for your booking. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages, including lost enjoyment or missed flights.
- DISPUTE RESOLUTION & GOVERNING LAW
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Maryland. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Howard County, Maryland. You agree to bring claims in your individual capacity only and waive any right to participate in a class action. You understand and agree that no claims will be considered and that you will not bring suit against Drift and Discover Travel unless you have first provided a typewritten notice of claim within 30 days after the trip or cancellation of the trip.
- CHANGES TO TERMS
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. The version in effect at the time of your booking will apply.
- ACKNOWLEDGMENT
